Spinal Concompression

Spinal Decompression Therapy helps treat multiple back problems
Spinal Decompression is a non-invasive, non-surgical treatment for certain type of chronic back pain. Mechanical decompression works by slowly and gently stretching the spin, taking pressure off compressed discs and vertebrae. The spinal discs are gel-like cushions between your bones and spine. The change and removal of pressure creates a negative pressure in the disc, and as a result may retract bulging or herniated discs, thereby taking the pressure off of nerves and other parts of the spine. This relief then helps promote movement of water, oxygen and nutrient rich fluids into the disks so they can heal.
Vertebral decompression is one of the most exciting medical treatments developed in many years, since it demonstrates good statistical results for long term pain relief. Our aim is to provide our patients with every non-invasive treatment possible to avoid surgery. We have had great success using the method of spinal treatment and have been able to prevent some of our patients from having invasive surgery through our integrated treatment plans.
The most common spinal condition treated with decompression treatment is a herniated disc. Spinal compression can cause disc herniation to expand, putting pressure on surrounding spinal nerve roots. Decompression treatment takes the pressure off these damaged discs so that the disc bulge will shrink back close to its original size.

Spinal Decompression Helps Many Conditions

  • Back Pain
  • Sciatica
  • Herniated and/or bulging discs
  • Degenerative disc disease
  • Spinal Stenosis Relapse or failure following surgery

How is Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression Performed?
During the procedure you are fully clothed and you lie on your back on a computer controlled table in our office. Your doctor operates the computer, customizing the treatment for you to meet your specific needs. Spinal decompression is usually done in a series of treatments over a period of time. We evaluate your progression after each treatment to determine how you are progressing with the healing process.

If you feel that spinal decompression can help you get rid of your back pain, please don’t hesitate to call us and book your consultation today!
